Optiwave Photonics Ltd. announced the availability of its optical amplifier for optical telecommunication and CATV community. The amplifier, with gain more than 30dB and output power up to 20dBm, comes in a standard 19’ rack mountable package. It is designed for effortless integration into optical networks, The unit comes with an RS232 and an optional Ethernet interface. This cost effective system operates in C band and is designed for single channel SONET/SDH and FTTH system applications.
